I have a strong preference for photos that convey a sense of emotional ambiguity. Such compositions allow the viewer to develop a more personal interaction with and create stories from the photos. I snapped this photo for 2009′s Bike to Work Day as a way to document my daily commute to (then) the Penn Station Area from North Brooklyn. The morning was young and light beginning to enter my kitchen, creating a dim cast into a comforting space.
